Expressions of Interest Now Open: 2027 Angus Youth National Roundup Committee
Angus Australia is now calling for Expressions of Interest from members across the country to join the 2027 Angus Youth National Roundup Committee.
The Angus Youth National Roundup is the flagship youth event for the breed, bringing together participants from across Australia for a unique experience combining education, competition and connection. The Roundup Committee plays a central role in shaping and delivering this event, ensuring it continues to evolve while maintaining the strong foundation it is built on.
As Roundup continues to grow, this is an opportunity to be directly involved in the planning and delivery of one of the most important youth programs in the Australian beef industry.
About the Role
Committee members will work alongside Angus Australia staff and the appointed Event Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of the 2027 Angus Youth National Roundup.
Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to program planning and development
- Supporting event logistics and delivery
- Assisting with participant engagement and communication
- Representing the voice of Angus Youth
- Working collaboratively within a team environment
Committee members will gain valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, communication and event delivery.
Who Should Apply
Expressions of Interest are encouraged from individuals who:
- Have previously participated in Angus Youth programs, particularly Roundup
- Are passionate about the Angus breed and youth development
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability and a willingness to contribute
- Are looking to further develop leadership and organisational skills
Angus Australia is committed to building a committee that reflects a range of experience, backgrounds and perspectives, with a focus on developing future leaders within the breed.
What to Expect
Committee members will be required to:
- Participate in regular planning meetings (online and/or in person)
- Contribute time and effort in the lead-up to and during the event
- Work closely with Angus Australia staff, the Event Coordinator and fellow committee members
