Merry Christmas from Angus Australia

As we prepare to close down for the Christmas break, I wish to take the opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing support form our members as we have navigated through a challenging year.

Whilst Angus Australia staff and directors have had very limited opportunity to meet with members through the year we have endeavoured to maintain levels of communication as best we could via electronic media (e.g. Angus eNews, AngusCONNECT, podcasts), our website and the Angus Bulletin .   Though we will certainly continue to use these communication forms into the future, we certainly look forward to hopefully restoring the balance in 2021 with more opportunities for face-to-face interaction with members.

Whilst 2020 has continued to be tough for many members who are either still in drought, or in drought recovery, the very positive commercial conditions for beef producers in 2020 has been a welcome sign of the excellent future for our industry and for the Angus breed.

I would also like to acknowledge the excellent work conducted by the staff of Angus Australia during 2020 and congratulate them on maintaining their focus on providing the best possible service to members throughout the year despite the unprecedented challenges we have faced.

Thank you also to the Board and members of our various Consultative Committees and State Committees for the guidance and assistance provided through the year.

I wish all members a very happy festive season ahead and hope that you can find time to relax a little with your families over this period and to celebrate your achievements of the past year.

Best wishes … Peter Parnell, CEO.
