The 2025 Spring Bull Series is returning to screens once again, just in time for the Spring joining season. An event that connects the entire breeding community, it is perfectly timed for those considering Angus for their spring artificial insemination program.

What to expect over five nights

The event spans five consecutive evenings from 25 August to 29 August 2025, offering focused sessions to support breeders and enthusiasts alike. Every night features a specific theme and discussion, with topics ranging from foundational breeding strategies to innovative approaches in genetic selection.

Celebrating breeding excellence

The Spring Bull Series places the spotlight on the latest artificial insemination sires, granting attendees a close look at genetic possibilities. The event runs live each night from 7pm AEST on the Angus Australia YouTube channel, making it accessible for viewers no matter their location. Six organisations will present their spring sire prospects on dedicated evenings, so each session carries unique insights and knowledge.

This year’s event covers a robust lineup of themes. The opening night, Future Foundations – The Replacement Female Sire, focuses on breeding decisions that shape herds for years ahead. The second session, Heifer Mating Specialist, focuses on those best suited for the heifer herd.  Following this, the Terminal Sires – Built for beef session explores prospects ideal for meat production. The fourth night, The Angus All-Rounder – Balance, Power & Performance, looks at animals excelling across multiple benchmarks. To close the event, Wildcard – Game Changers in Angus Genetics, offers a preview of emerging trends and standout sires.

Who will be presenting

Six prominent organisations will present their semen catalogues and breeding programs, creating a comprehensive learning space for all involved. Semex, Breeder Genetics, Worldwide Sires, Genetics Australia, Agri-Gene and ABS are all participating in this exciting week long event. Each organisation brings a distinct approach, background and catalogue, ensuring every attendee finds presentations and sires suited to their interests.

No registration is required, making it easy to drop in and participate. For those seeking extra details or who have questions before the event, please contact Angus Australia Acting Extension Manager Nancy Crawshaw at nancy.crawshaw@angusaustralia.com.au.
